gday

been listening to artists with lots o strings on there bass. jean baudin for one. and was wondering if Warwick would make 9, 11 or 12 sting basses if ordered through the custom shop.

thanks in advance

PS. check out transcend by jean baudin, its sweet as!!!

Well, Warwicks can be custom ordered with 7-strings in single course, not yet in 8, 9, 10 or 12 strings as single course.

You can get a dual-course 8, 10 or 12 string, or triple course 12-string, although those are completely different animals to extended range instruments played by Jean Baudin...

If you want extended range, a 7-string should cover a lot of ground already!

cheers mate :D when you speak of coarse are you referring to the sub harmonic strings? :?

Yup, something like that, so a double course instrument will have doubled strings, usually tuned an octave appart (so EeAaDdGg), and a triple course will have tripled strings, usually tuned fundamental-octave-octave (so EeeAaaDddGgg). The aim is to add depth and volume to the sound, not range, as is the case on multiple string basses...
