+1. He is very talented but for me, just like a groove is missing something without bass, I miss the other instruments as well. I own Marcus Miller "Silver Rain" because the grooves are solid with other instruments. I like Seth because of the melody and lyrical content. Adam Nitti is awesome with a drum machine going. Mr. Manring is talented but his bass sounded kind of "whaleish" or like a trumpet. Perfect sense young man. If he makes you feel something from what he's doing then musically he succeeded. I like some solo instruments but I guess I'm stuck in "old school" mode when it comes to bass so my opinions will often seem 1 dimentional. Good point though :wink:Stroud said:Gerry said:+1. yeah gerry i agree with you 100% but thats the point...i wouldnt listen to manring while wanting to listen to a "bass line", i'd listen to him wanting to listen to "music" if that makes sense :wink:
