well I went and did it. picked up the x2 (floor model)after work today. had to hear it for myself and see what all the fuss is about...
I've read a bunch of reviews on this but have yet to find any local bass players that use one.. I really wanted to hear someone use it before I got it but I guess that is out of the question now.

so I'll mess around with it in the house and at the band room on saturday and give my review of it sunday or monday..

I know you'll love it!

Mine does fantastic with my Warwick basses and SWR Mo' Bass rig and also with my Genz-Benz 1x10 Shuttle combo. Best wireless I've ever owned and no antennas to break or lose!

Looking forward to your review.

+1.

Sonicaly, it's really just an invisible cord.

It has some cool features, but when you're
playing, it does what you want, which is to
be out of sight, out of mind.

Speaking of mind, it has a great feature for
peace of mind: 5-step bettery life read-out.

I assume Oprah wears red undies, when she wears
undies, and she doesn't appear to have any problem
from her wireless mic.

On the advice of the Keyboard Player I'm currently with I went to check out the X2. He said the previous bassist had it and it was flawless. I went to GC and tried out every wireless they had there. The X2 was incredible. No loss of signal, no change in tone. I was floored. So I picked it up.

My first gig with it didn't go so well.

Let me take a moment to say why I need a wireless. Since my band is playing lots of clubs without a sound man we are doing our own sound. The only reason I want the wireless is so I can go around the room at certain points of the show and listen to the mix.

So, at the first gig I get off the stage and zap! no bass. CRAP! I poke around. I get back on the stage and passed the guitarplayer and Zap! Bass is back. Hmmmm. I stayed on stage next to my rig the whole gig.

The next rehearsal we bring everyone's wireless's. We tweak everything make sure everyone is on different channels. No problems all rehearsal.

Next gig. I get about 25 feet away from my rig. ZAP. No bass. Son of a bitch! So I mess with some things. I even have a different cord between the wireless receiver and my amp. Hmmm. About 10 minutes later (I'm 6 feet away from the amp) ZAP! MOTHER FUNKER! (oh yea the battery was at 4 on the scale from 1 to 5)

The next day I took it back and had it replaced with a new one.

So, we do another gig. ZAP! In the First song No Bass. I went wired the rest of the gig and gave up on wireless. I took it back the next day and got my money back.

BTW all of the gigs were in different places as well.
