Limited Edition certificate of Authenticity

SO, I meant to ask this the other day, but I forgot:

When I picked up my Dirty Blonde (new) from GC this past weekend, I rummaged through the bag to make sure it had everything. I noticed that the certificate of authenticity was not there. I asked them about it, and they went and searched every other Warwick bag th ey had in the store, and could not find it.

Normally, this wouldnt matter to me so much, but I have my other ones framed and hanging on the wall next to my basses and i would like to do the same with this one. is it at all possible to get a newly printed certificate?

On the contrary,Graham owns the "Dirty Blonde" from 2006.The "Bleached Blonde" is from 2003.

my review of the dirty blonde:

the truss rod has issues. I will await for repairs to be made before I review since I dont feel like giving an unfair review because I cant set the bass up properly.

GC also failed to give me my certificate - In fact I had to bring my case back because it had the wrong tags for another Warwick bass in it and I was missing the wax - I got some wax but the guy couldn't find my certificate in the other bags - Guess theres alot of peeps who have the wrong certificates - If I would of known more about this before I bought it I would of checked it out first - Only reason I found out was when I was gonna order some wax from the Warwick site it said that natural finish basses come with it - I'd love the certificate but at least I have a nice bass - It was a new store so not many grubby hands played it first

your bass is a standard model, there's no certificate with it. Or at least there's one, but not the same as custom or Limited basses.

Thing is I have a certificate for another Corvette bass in my bag - It's a Corvette $$ 4-string - I called them today and gave serial #'s incase there was one that turns up - I'm not all that worried about having this certificate I guess but its cool to know all the info about my bass - All i see on receipt is Corvette-5Str Active Bubinga CH - I just scrolled up and rem this was a limited edition certificate thread - I guess I just wanted build sheet

Same thing happened to me,we both receieved the wrong warranty cards.I looked into getting the right card but gave up in the end because it was down to the (former) dealer.Anyway,we have awesome basses to play,what could be better than that?

yeah, that didnt exactly show up as planned. Guitar Center dropped the ball on this one. Anything that can be done, Ollie? Even jsut for the certificate of authenticity? I plan to keep this bass as a collectors item and want to be able to have the documentation to go with it :?

Well, the bass should have arrived at Guitar Center with a Warwick User Kit. All of our basses from 2006 include this. Inside the kit, you should find the following: Extra set of strings, trussrod tool, allen keys, manual, warranty card and in the case of an LTD or Custom Shop bass, the certificate of authenticity.

What I would do in your case, is contact Guitar Center and ask them to look around to see if they find this user kit that should have come with your bass. If this doesn't work, next in the chain of command is Dana B. Goods.

I guess I will have to talk to Dana B Goods. I had GC look through everything they have and tehy could not find it. ALl I got was the user manual and the truss rod tool.

This has taught me a lesson though: When I go to GC, I will only go to the one local to me since they know me and treat their goods well. I wont go to the Boston one since they dont have everything in proper order

When I bought my Corvette Std. fretless from G.C. in Scottsdale, AZ, I had no User Kit, so I went back and they dug a User Kit out for me. In it was the wrong registration info and a Certificate of Authenticity for a Limited Edition FNA Jazzman, Serial No. 4/231.

I told the store about the mistake, but they have no FNA Jazzman anymore and told me it doesn't matter which kit I got because G.C. sends Warwick the serial number info on the bass I bought, therefore I don't need a correct warranty card.

Their answer disappointed me because I know if I had bought the LE FNA Jazzman, I would want that Certificate of Authenticity, and I feel bad for the person who didn't get theirs. If the owner of Serial No. 4/231 is somehow on this forum, I would be happy to get your Certificate and stat sheet/warranty card to you!

When I bought my Corvette $$ from the Phoenix, AZ store, I received the proper bag and User Kit, so good job from them.

I just wish GC wasn't so big that they lose sight of taking care of their better instruments and customers. Not all GC stores and staff are guilty, and each store is a separate franchise, but there still needs to be better consistency across the board...
