Been looking around the internet for months after hearing about the Korean made Reverso bass, but I can't find anything. Is it even available yet?

Actually I'm from Canada, eh. And after seeing U2 play their last gig in Moncton it makes me want a Reverso even more.

diggin'up this thread to present you my Korean Reverso.
Bought it from thomann as B-Stock : it had a small crack in the varnish, some tiny stains and a micro dent at the head. As you can see from the photos provided by thomann, the defects are really, really small.
It was well packed and delivered of course with the padded Gigbag and Accessory kit. It found really quickly a place in the family
I must say I was really surprised by the overall quality and especially by the sound of this bass. It's L.O.U.D. LOUD. The output level is insane.
Compared to the Buzzard BO, it's even louder. But they are different beasts altogether. The Buzzard has a more defined, tight, tubular bell sound. The Reverso is more boomy, a bit loose, capable of being really muddy.
However, I don't think it's worth the 1800€ asked for the List Price. But it's worth the 700€ that thomann asks for, I think. And given the price I touched it, it's a real bargain
Now, it's of course no "do it all" instrument. It's a Hormonalized Precision, and if you're into Rock'n'Roll, it will do a perfect tool.
It can even slap a bit.
So, if you can get past the looks, it's a really good instument.
Having tried the "German NT version", I have to say that I prefer the korean one. It's lighter, and delivers the right sound for a fraction of the price. Of course the german model is a lot nicer with the maple top, and can achieve a tighter sound, but still... I think it's expensive for a "precision".

the D'Addario Pro Steels EPS165 are so wonderful bright and directly...that would be the perfect strings for that..and even it makes this reverso even louder as it is yet 
these strings are my weapon against muddy, low output Basses
btw super nice bass... but are you sure, that the tiny crack is only in the varnish and not in the wood too ??

For the time being, there are some RedLables on it, brand new.
I don't really care if it sounds muddy, it's part of the reasonss I bid on this one. I wanted to get a Precision, and was almost decided on a P-Kit by Thomann, and then I would have upgraded the P'up to an EMG, and then put the EMG preamp, change the bridge for a Babicz, nice Grover Tuners... and voilà, a P-bass. And then I saw this one and said that I could bid less than 400e, at worst it will worth it... Damn, was I right.
A tried a bit with the LoMenzo HyperDrive... pfiuuuuuuuu... Rocket on startup.
Dat Reverso is the perfect conterpart of my Dolphin Pro2 with DiMarzios. Very Rock and Metal oriented.
I'm still wondering if I have the room to put a second Precision P'up, reversed and mimick the Buzzard.
Hey AsturHero, not 100% sure it's not in the wood. But I don't think it is. It's really fine and localized, and doesn't look too deep.
When the strings are worn off I'll dismantle it and look at the neck pocket, and if it's fractured, Ill see with my luthier to glue it safely. I'm not too worried about it.
And while it's dimantled, I'll see... I'm still wondering if I going to put a second Precision P'up, reversed and mimick the Buzzard.
Or maybe now I look for a Stryker. Or maybe this modified AND a Stryker, so I can have a Mirror thingy !

I use these too, only problem: they don´t last that long. Because of the total number of my gears I feel pushed torwards the Elixir Nanoweb. For the Reverso I tried the Lemmy signature strings made by Dunlop. Just a bit less aggressive than the D´Addario Pro Steels. Let´s see how long they will last.

I don't think I need to clarify the sound. I have other basses for clean sound. This one is really growing on me, I'll bring it to the next rehearsal in order to check how it sits in the mix. We record every session so I can really hear what it sounds like. For now, the best sounding bass was my Spector with Bartolinis, but i had the preamp turned off. The Dolphin Pro1 was a bit woofy (bass turned up and flat on the treble), the SD Curlee was completely lost between the two guitars (which is surprising to me as this bass usually kicks some ass). i brought the FrankenJazz and it sounded surprisingly good.
When running thru my SWR RedHead 2x10" plus Henry the 8x8, I get a really great tone. (well to be honest, that's what I love with this rig : you can tweak a great tone with any bass, I think. )
