Knobs issues.

Later Ugh Comrades.

I'm actually facing two issues with my Corvette. Nothing very serious but still a bit annoying.
The first is that the knobs are getting loose. But it seems it's not the knobs itself that are getting loose but their axes, that come from the inside of the bass (yeah, I'm struggling to explain correctly that one).
The second one, still involving the knobs, is that, well, the knobs are noisy. When I'm using them once the bass is plugged, there's noise, some "scratch-scratch".
How can I solve those problems?

Oh, I forgot something, when I'm using the Active Mode, there are some "pops" coming from the amp when I'm touching the strings near the pickups.

Hi there,

Try to clean the pots with electronic cleaner, available in an electronic shop. Careful not to spray that on finish, you never know what can happen. If not, a visit to your nearest competent tech should give you a more precise idea of what's wrong...

Hum, it's getting worse in fact. I played the bass this afternoon, and when I am in Active Mode, I've got "pops" coming from the amp as soon as I'm touching a metal part of the bass : knobs, strings, bridge, tuning machines...

I've tried another jack and another amp, the problem is still here.

No, I don't have the radio coming through my amp but it might happen aha.

Man, I guess I'll have to go and pray for absolution for my bass, and me too. :|

It sounds like you have an earth problem so you should check all the connections including the bridge earth.
With regard to the float in the pot. shaft,I have noticed the same in the new MEC pots I have installed in my bass,I have not done it yet but I intend to fit short lengths of rubber pipe over the shaft which will be trapped by the knob to stabalise the shaft and also add some resistance to the turning of the pot which I find is a little lighter than I would like.
