is frigging AWESOME!

I think the bassist is member here and it was the reason why I checked their cd "Sound Awake".
It was laying around on my computer since last year and finally decided to give a go tonight and it is VERY good stuff.

check them out!

P.S.: I'll try to get myself the CD sometimes soon.

What is his username?

He's got a downright brutal tone... Listen to Roquefort, theres a bass and vocal bit, and max your volume... :D

EDIT: Oh, and I've got all of the Karnivool albums :D

I discovered them through the forum a little while back, and I'm eternally grateful! Top notch band, and the bassplaying and bass-sound blows me away!!!

i really like karnivool, they sound like a clever fusion of tool, porcupine tree, and a couple of other bands.
and yeah, sound awake is awsome, but themata is, too! plus - check out "Goliath". love that main riff!

Just started listening to this stuff and now after 5 songs I have to admit I like this stuff very much. Every role in the band is handled by such a pro person. I love the bass playing and sound. Good stuff.

I still can't get over that soaring climax in New Day.

Excuse me while I swoon...

How about the cool bass intro to "umbra" kinda following Ian Kenny's vocal melody. Jon is a very talented and creative player as with the rest of Karnivool. I really dig Steven Judd's drum work too, he and Stockton work so well together. Can't wait for the follow up to 'sound awake'. Wooot!!

These guys are awesome!! I'll have to buy this cd, thanks a lot for pointin them out :)
