Sold my pnut3 on eBay and bought a pnut2 #20/56!!
The front grain is eh wish it had more character but it's the only pnut2 I could find in the states. I hope I did the right thing...going to miss the super slim neck on the pnut3. I'm gonna guess the 2 will have a bit thicker profile as it was made in 2006?2007?


Oh I did this because I really wanted a wenge neck but keep the awesome pickup configuration without stepping into custom shop territory.

Congrats! I hope it's everything you expect and then some. Great collectors piece as well.
 
P-Nut sig models are giving me some serious GAS related problems. Here you are flogging one great bass for another! Life can be beautiful sometimes innit?

The P-Nut 2 is my favorite of the series by a long shot. I approve your decision.
 
I also endorse this purchase. I really hope you like it. I had mine whilst still trying to get comfortable on the 5 string. It really plays fantastic and sounds great. Loved the solo neck pickup sound despite the awesome MM pickup.
 
Man now the wait for the bass to be shipped is the hardest. I thought packaging my bass for shipment hurt but now I don't know what to feel.

Just came in!!! Cleaned it up and gave it her first coat of wax! Definitely has the mids the 3 was lacking but kinda hard to tell in depth how much more with my home amp....
Weighs just a tad over 11lbs but it's comfy.
The neck is definitely thicker than the mark 3 but still comfy. Reminds men of my 06 ss2!! But lovely wenge.
Tigerwood is not as beautiful as the Burl Blackwood but I like it's simplicity!





















Miss the mark 3 but I'm so glad I switched!!

I like the way you got 2 PNut basses with matched top woods. The front of my PN3 looks like the back of your PN2. Not sure what they were thinking when they "matched" my top wood. Other than that, I love it. Congratulations!!
 
Yea the pnut3 is a work if art IMHO! I'm do miss the very slim thin neck but I'm also loving this fat wenge

Long time no see Gerry, we missed you!
 
Hey Flo, I been around since I got the Pn3. Posting here and there but mostly practicing and gigging. Trying to be pro like some of you guys here. I still like the way we appreciate the differences in each others choice of instrument. The one thing we all have in common is that we are all different but share a common passion for our role in music. I'm fortunate to be able to have a great instrument right now and to be a part of a very cool on line community. Thanks to all who keep this place running!
