Just played an RB $$ 5-string

I just brought one these puppies home from BassNW. Holy hell is it growly and aggressive! I feels great too. That's a biggie for me. I hate uncomfortable basses no matter how great they sound or look. THat's why I don't play fenders. Just don't feel rigth in my hands. I'll be really breaking it in tomorrow at rehearsal. I can't wait to see their jaws drop when I pull this guy out. Got the red 5ver. I was going to post som epics but I realized my wife has our camera with her at work. Tomorrow for sure.
Oh yeah. I like way better than the German $$ for sure. Much better tone IMO. Then again, I prefer passive basses.
 
Great man, I wish you lots of good times with that bass. I guess the maple neck suits you better, eh?

 
Don't get me wrong. The neck on my German Corvette feels like the ultimate. I play it more than any of my basses. The German $$ felt equally as good to me. It was just the tone wasn't what I was after. I found it to be not as growly and a bit more hifi. The rockbass, I have a feeling, isn't just going to cut through the mix it's going to be a like a chainsaw to a tulip. Soooo much raw power and still passive.

Nice 'Ray, I have one too, a 1994 in natural/maple.
 
the chainsaw killed the tulips. I had to back way off with this guy. Hot doesn't even begin to describe it.
 
That does indeed look pretty sweet! would like to try one out just to compare with mine. Hmm...
