that Jack bruce seems to have a 7 piece wenge NT? the current Jack Bruce model comes with the ovangkol NT
 
Man! That white streamer looks like it brings the shit!!!

I would be very careful about buying it tho....I'm instinctively suspicious of anyone who doesn't take paypal, and plus, the guy doesnt specify whether its NT or bolt on, and the pictures don't really help much either! Seems like quite an important detail to leave out, and makes me wonder about the proficiency of the seller, and his knowledge of the merch he is selling.

I've seen a lot of onluine scam sellers, and most of them look a little like this one.

That said, he's got great feedback, and he isn't selling a million other items like most scammers.

Who can judge!?!

The old Jack Bruce Signature edition bass we did with a Wenge neck. We still make this bass but now we use Ovangkol for the neck. The new one feature all of the old one's features, except for the fact that the new one has Bubinga Pommele for the body.

It was a limited run.
It's quite highly sought after, but I don't think the seller would even come close to the buy it now price he's hoping to get...

Beautiful Bubinga, but the seller ain't telling the truth.
It seems a plain Bubinga, (which can be lovely, just like that one), not a Pommelé, regardless of the number of A he's claiming... :wink:

He's not necessarily lying... but might be a little misinformed, the Pommele version of the bass is the new one.
 
When was introduced pommele ?

I own several Thumb basses, the 97 & 01 seem to be made of bubinga pommele, the 98 is made of "std" bubinga !

We have used it whenever we got it. Now we're getting it on a regular basis.

It does surprise me though, how many people don't know much about their own expensive instrument they're trying to sell............. :?

I'm pretty sure it's a neckthrough. The end of the fretboard is blended to the body and I don't think there were any bolt-on Streamers back in the day. I wish I had the $$$ to get that one... :roll: ~M~

Almost in the beginning.
You can find it also on early Thumbs, mostly 5 or 6 strings.
An Italian friend of mine has a 1988 5 strings with a Pommelé so nice you can't even imagine!

This guy offers this bass as a real warwick and not as a rockbass.. But it's a non contoured Streamer with single-PU and rockbass bridge. I think he just swapped necks, so be careful !!!
 
It may be a Warwick after all;

I know Warwick had a Streamer Standard with Carolena body, single pickup, one piece bridge, and jack that sticks out of the body top.........it was discontinued some years ago...........

Something similar: I saw a Corvette proline once on Ebay that did NOT have the Flamed Maple top, but an Ash looking body instead. I thought he just swapped the Trusrod cover that says "Corvette Proline", but it turns out that the earlier Prolines were actually made of Ash (or something that looked like Ash that was NOT Flamed Maple)

Conclusion ?? Maybe it's a Warwick, maybe not............ :?

that is a Streamer Standard. Before the Rockbass series and the proliferation of new Corvette models, the Streamer Std was one of the entry level models that still had the one piece bridge. ~M~
