Just Bought a Rockbass Streamer

Hey everybody, just though I'd say 'hello'. I just placed my order through Musician's Friend for a Rockabass Streamer 5 string in Natural finish. It should be here by the end of the week. I've wanted a Warwick for AGES, but I'm just too poor to buy a German-Made one. I tried out new Rockbass Streamer about a month ago, and when I saw Musician's Friend has the Natural finish 5 strings for $399 I just HAD to jump on that deal. All the other finishes were $999. I'm looking forward to getting it. The one I played was really great.

Good luck with it Ryan. I hope its not the old model, so we can have an oppinion about the new 2010 models.

Judging from the picture, it is a 2010, has the 2 piece bridge, and the cable socket is at the bottom. Looks nice. Are there any opinions as to witch generation is better? Factory changes, or the sort. Mine is a 04, presuming its a 2004 then. Its put together really nice, i will say this.. don't use heavy strings like045-up for a 5string. I use elixirs, custom 040-130. and they're still hard on the neck. Looking for a 035-130. I'd prefer some tension on the b string to give it more body.

Rockbasses are awesome basses. In my community, many bassists envy my RB Corvette cause it can sound like Steve Harris' tone or whoever thrash/death metal bassists they can mention.

I wish I could trade mine for the new double-bridge one though. :d

BTW, I hope you will have fun with your new bass once you can get your hands on it.

You'll probably pay more for the routing & bridge parts,than what the bass is actually worth.Unless you're experienced doing this sorta thing,I wouldnt,coz a tiny error will render the bass useless.

After getting a closer look at the 1 piece bridge, it looks very similar to the Gotoh I put on an SX frankenbass. It's a quality high mass bridge, I don't think I'll mess with it.
