Joe Zawinul has gone

I'd like to remember one of the most inspired musician of the past 30 years, founder of Weather Report (Jaco Pastorius) and Zawinul Syndicate (Matthew Garrison). He invented fusion and his ethnic poetry keeps enriching the modern electronic music. He was of my favourite composer and I've met him personally once, here in Sicily. A great person and a great musician, Joe Zawinul has passed away today. Bye Joe, thank you.

The world has lost a true innovator, and I think that anyone who was familiar with Joe's work with Miles Davis or Weather Report & Zawinul Syndicate would agree.
I can envision Joe and Jaco catching up on old times.
