I know i have been going on about how nice the LXs are but i picked up my Jazzman5 for the first time in ages for a rehearsal (only cuz i had to, some silly song in C) and played an hour on it.
HOT DAMN! i remembered why i love this thing. the LX has a definite swagger, really hot P-Pup and that rocky warmth but the clarity, the ass and glass coming through with the Jazzman blew me away. SOOOO much punch, with lows that shook your teeth without getting muddy. the guys i was playing with stopped after the second songs and just went "what did you do? it sounds great"

I think its time to put the LX on the shelf again for a while.

Not much substance to this post but i have fallen in love once again with ash, maple and some massive passive pups.

It's all good, Augie!

Between the 2 of them, you have everything covered. Kind of a yin and yang thing (I think of my $$ LTD and LX in the same way)... 8:

JAZZ pickup at neck and MusicMAN pickup at bridge... JAZZ-MAN... I think that's why.

You need a thumb too, so it is yin yang Jung

I agree, i am definitely looking at a a second had NT by years end. I am thinking of a dolphin this year and a thumb next year. the question is what strings? i know the thumb has the killer B but the dolphin is a broadneck 4. maybe a five dolphin and a six thumb NT........

yin/yang/jung/freud?

.. so you have yin yang Jung Gong?

There`s a nice formula to calculate this:
Optimum amount of basses owned equals current amount of basses plus one.

Don't get me started, you know SSII is my favourite bass of all times? I saved it for later, haha!

Yes Florin, I agree that the SSII is the best! ;)

I sold my P-NUT II in favor of my SSII because I could not afford to keep both. :(

Although, I'm loving my new acquisition  A 1997 Streamer LX! :d

This makes me happy. I have a major 'thing' for the early-LX's...

I concur! They sure are sexy and I love the fat warmth of the 'P' pickup. I prefer to pull up on the volume knob to bypass the preamp with the pickup balance right in the middle - tone nirvana...

I've only had it for about a month but I know there will definitely be many more to come. From your signature and our previous discussions, I know you know exactly what I'm talking about! ;)
