I have the issue of "Gitarre&Bass" where they reviewed it and where they said the price is 7800 Euros. That magazine is always overboard with their pricesuggestions. When they reviewed the Corvette $$ 4 they said it would cost 1050 Euros whereas I got it for 825 Euros. I'd say this bass will cost about 4000 Euros max.
 
It's a really nice looking bass, the same black finish I have on my thumb, with black hardware, only I don't have the neat blue LEDs... I'm surprised it's a NT with an ash body, and also that it comes with a brass nut?

The one switch is obviously for the LEDs, I wonder what does the other one do?
 
Ok, here's what the magazine says:

1x Volume Pot
1x Balance Pot
1x Stacked Treble / Bass Pot
1x Presence-Boost Switch (gives you 6 dB more for solos and stuff)
1x Switch For LEDs

Note: This bass is always in active mode, there is no possibilty to play passive.
 
are they Sims LEDs? that could account for the inflated cost. I know my Sims cost me a fortune.
 
They're always SimS. MEC only does red LEDs. Yeah, they always have to ship the basses to England to have them installed. The shipping (safe shipping) can cost them around 250 € for each bass. Then if you consider the cost for LEDs it adds up to alot.
 
yup, my bass had to go from Germany to the Uk then back to Germany then to Melbourne (Australia) then to me in Perth in Western Australia. It's done a LOT of travel :D
 
Just asked for a quote a week ago.

€5999 (@ Thomann DE), but that's a CS with a additional front LEDs (worth €670).

I guess not then .... :(
 
Guys,guys,guys.Let's not forget that this is a "signature model"!!Only a few are made,therefore the unit cost is sky high,it makes no difference who builds it.Building less units keeps the price high,that's why mass-production=cheaper prices.To have Sims LED's fitted front & side would cost me $1000 & that doesnt include shipping.
Lets try to remember we play Warwick,all that lovely tone,exotic wood & quality construction comes at a price.If you want a good car,you have to,"spend some money",the same can be said for practically anything.You get what you pay for people,remember that next time you try a non Warwick bass. :wink:

Absolutely with ya Thump but €5999 (including side LEDs) are still way off for me. And that's what I was trying to say. Still love that bass....
