ITS BEAUTIFUL

I dont get why they used AAA flamed maple,only to paint over it.
Nice bass but I dont like the paint.
 
I thought about getting a black HP Thumb NT....................But it jussssst doesn't look right in my opinion............And this Infinity shows why..........

With HP finish, they should go for a normal maple... Would sound the same and would be leeeeess expensive.

It does make sense, but how about the price ?? Normally you need to pay extra to down grade.........
 
Greg and Ian, my first thoughts exactly. The flaming adds nothing to the sound, so it's just a waste of money. I've recently seen a transparent black finish over quilt maple on an Epiphone Les Paul Ultra, that type of finish would justify the AAA flame. But solid, no way.
 
I'm no fan of black, but man I almost just crapped myself. Beautiful.

Okay, so it's a total waste of a beautiful piece of wood.
 
For me it's like : OMG, WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!!!!??!?!?

The darkest color I'd chose for this baby is Honey Violin.

I agree, I love the finish, but why put it over AAA flamed maple?
 
Because AAA flamed maple is the default on Infinity NTs?

He just didn't bother to change the wood (which would have been more expensive...

I know it's a litlle shame to hide the flames, but the result is stunning without having to worry too much about that...

I agree... Normally I don't like HP finish, but this baby is awesome!

jan are we brothers. we both love buzzards and Black high polish.
 
It's beautiful. And I'm a lifetime fan of Natural Oil finish basses. But this one is just so damn elegant!
