Is this Flightcase an original Warwick?

This was offered on ebay as a "Warwick original", for Infinity 4. After seeing the pictures of the damaged flightcase, I'm wondering if this really is an original Warwick or Rockcase.
Does anyone know this type of cases?

Something's strange here. Not only was it offered as "new" (B-stock) and shows signs of use, it also does not perfectly fit the Infinity - the headstock cut-out is not long enough for the g-string tuner.
 
The warwick logo came as a sticker at that time.
Nothing strange here, this ismthe good old pre rockcase warwick case:)

Well then, two more questions about these "good oldies":
a) Could you get the cut-out foam for another Warwick model - let's say, for the sake of the argument, in Thumb or Corvette shape ;) - and use the same case for different basses? (Yes, I do realize the case is not long enough for my Buzzard. I'm not that stupid.)
b) But, I'm too stupid to figure out the purpose of the circular cut-out. :confused: Any idea?
 
That's where the jar of Warwick Wax goes my friend. This is definitely a genuine oldskool Warwick flightcase.

Notice the Bryston 3BST power amp in there? It drives my main monitors in le home studio but I sometimes also use it for bass amplification muhahahaha.

But back on topic: You can't buy the pre-shaped foam anymore as far as I know. You can however simply buy foam and cut out the shape of your bass yourself no problem.
 
The wax jar had been my first guess, but the cut-out is much wider than the jar you get nowadays. I guess the wax was supplied in larger quantities in the past, and when it became more valuable, instead of increasing the price, they reduced the size. :lol:

Interesting how the cut-out for the strap is different in your case (no pun) and mine. Incidentally, the extra wide straps I use don't fit in any case's designated strap area.
 
I received my custom shop Streamer last night, and it came in that EXACT case.

It's made of wood and has to be 25-30lbs.
 
Mine weighs about 9kg, ie, approx. 20lb.

Haha thanks, mine is cut out, too.

It's a Streamer Stage 1 that has the pickups and string spacing of a Stage 2... I'll post more info soon!!

I like the case. The weight is obscene but it's super strong, and doesn't have those goofy pillows the new cases have.
