You really ought to try enuf basses to decide if you're a bolt-on guy
or a neck-thru guy. Neither is superior, it's just two different pools of
basses. However your wife will always be happier to hear that you're
a bolt-on guy.

Maybe, just maybe, you should NEVER ever test a neck-thru and just
find the bolt-on that makes you happy. It's just possible that you may
really reeaally love bolt-on a whole lot, but love neck-thru even more
..... in which case your budget will regret that you ever touched one.
Us bolt-on guys are just lucky in that way ;-)

My bass player friend/co-worker and I pronounce it a third way: "Bu bing ga" here in the American southwest desert. Maybe down in the south (for example, Georgia) they pronounce it "Buba-Inga" :lol:

Back east, they also have a very different accent, so I don't know how it's pronounced in say, New York, or Boston, but I'm guessing the second way, with emphasis on the first sylable: "BOO binga"... :wink: :lol:
