information on a thumb '88

hi i want if it si possibile some information about this bass.i've found this thumb of the 88 but on the web i can't fine anything about. I want know the woods that are used in this bass,if the price si expensive or not (1400€ for the 5strings neckthrough) and why the warwick site don't recognize the serial number,it's a fake? Thank you.

- we don't have a sn database from that time, that's the reason.
- 1400 EUR for that bass? Buy it now!
- Woods - if it is standard, it should have a beautiful grained bubinga pomelle, wenge neck with bubinga stripes. wenge fingerboard.

Yes! Everything is perfect, don't worry, it is NOT a fake! Ask the seller to send you a pic with the back of the headstock, look for a crack between the headstock and the neck, if it is not, buy it!
 
Yes, ask for better resolution, better light, to see clearly the grain of the wood, and possible cracks
 
I have other two questions,the fingerboard have two different colours,is it ok? and the PUs are not branded in the 88 the warwick used EMG PUs?MEC PUs?what about that PU?

FB looks light slight discoloration (not oiled or simply dirt) should be ok imo but only high res pics would help to tell.
EMG where standard then and look like the original ones
 
The PUs looks like the original but they haven't the "EMG" sign maybe I can't see the sign for the low quality of the pic?and for the neck which problems can I have in the future if the work is not done properly?In your opinion how much decrease the value of this bass?
 
This looks like legit EMG pickups - there is faint signage visible in the bottom right, which matches EMGs.
The logo print is often worn out from sweat or other influences.
 
and what do you think about neck and fingerboard?

Yepp, but that Ebay-bass had a complete "head-off" damage, this one one the well known truss rod issue.
 
In your opinion what is the right price for this bass?
 
1.000,- EUR. And I would add some cash to find a luthier who lets the marks disappear.
 
I asked to the seller if there's some crash on the neck and if there's some glue on the back of the neck and he says that the bass is ok that "glue" it's because the bass belongs to the first production of the warwick bass and because it is something like "handmade" have this little "problem" but he says the the neck is ok,it is possibile?what do you think about?

the neck was broken!

It is most likely ok now but still it was broken.
 
It looks like a crack in the circle, but it could it not just be the wood grain?

It looks like the seller does not want to send hi res pics with the bass. It is easy...
