6 yrs. ago I was fortunate enough to purchase an Infinity 2000 ltd. 4-string on the same year they rolled out. Being that it is a limited edition (only 150 produced), I have basically put this fine bass under lock and key, because I do not want to take any chances of it getting dinged or scratched. The bass has never been gigged...I have used it twice on some studio recordings. To be honest, I really don' want to sell it, I am very proud to be the original owner of such a rare instrument. Unfortunately, I use my 5-string Jazzman for all of my gigs and very seldom have the use for a 4-string.

Does anybody have a clue what a bass like this is worth today? My Infinity is in mint condition...I wax it regularly and it looks exactly the same way I bought it 6 years ago which is Brand New!

I would like to sell this bass and use the money towards a custom streamer stage II 6-string. Thanks for your interests.

Unfortunatly I don't think it matters that you've cared for the bass that much. In any ways it's still 6 years of and USED..

Don't know what the Infinity 4 string bass costs in your country but here in Sweden you can't get more then 50% off the NEW PRICE...

Unless something has changed, I don't think Warwick offers a Stage II 6.

I've always wondered why they don't though... I've always yearned for one.

Unfortunately, I don't think your Infinity will have increased in value yet. It may do as time goes on and they become rarer.

As Marc said, you would be lucky to get something approching 2/3 what you paid for it.

Incidentally, what are the differences between the LTD edition and the regular Infinity neck thru's??
 
Could have been interested but have bought 4 basses the last month...
I will try to find one later on so I'll contact you later if it's still there

What? Is that true? 150 made of them? I have one. Would be nice to know if this is true.

Custom shop will make you one. In fact, fairly recently they did make one which I believe is in the gallery.

Plus, the way they seem to distinguish models, if you got a Stage 1 and had it made with a hidden neck, it would become a Stage 2. That seems to be the determining factor. There are several stage 1 models which really more closely mimic the Stage 2 aside from having a visible neck from the front so they're classed as stage 1. Conversely, a broadneck model or a PJ 4 string that would otherwise be a Stage 1 but made with a hidden neck/solid top would be classified as a Stage 2.
 
Holy crap, didn't even pay attention to the date...or apparently close enough attention to the original post, where the first sentence specifies a 2000 MY bass puchased new 6 years prior....:(

For what it's worth, basses similar to my Thumb (1999 model) are going for about $2,300-ish on eBay. An Infinity NT from a similar period should sell for about $3,500 maximum or so.
 
I had an offer for 2.200,- EUR. I got the bass for 1.500,- EUR from the widow of a bass player, had additional 250,- EUR costs.
