I want to order infinity nt customshop and change pickup and pre to bartolini.
question..How about sound is it ok? if I play Rock.

Nice decision! You already have ideas about the other specs of your dream bass?

I don´t have any idea how the Infy would sound like with Bartolini pre and PUs. Little people will do. But at least I have some experience with Infys to compare the standard configuration with the config of the 2000´Ltd version.

You play rock? Me too! Tbh I´m not a very good bass player, but good enough to play in a Rock band and to play kick ass R´n´R! We did a recording this year, check this Forum for the "SiKS & drugs & R´n´R" thread. You find a link there leading to the recordings. I played an Infy with Seymour Duncan pre and open polepiece PUs. I played only over the bridge PUs in humbucker mode. In live situations I play in serial mode - hot! This config would be my suggestion for a R´n´R-Infy.






Too bad my Infy doesn´t look like Rock & Roll. Maybe I give it a refin at Warwick some day. Wanna see a real great CS Infy made for a Rocker?

As you can hear i this vid the standard config sounds very dark. That is also a nice sound, very dark! With some distortion it can sound brutal!

Bartolini are passive pickups with strong low mids. The bass will sound strong and tight, with more of a "classis tone" added. Stock pickups are on the modern side.
