Have a question for all of you about soloing. We have a show coming up this weekend. My band plays only originals and in one of our tunes I have a 3 part solo. I got a wild idea to take part of the intro to Death's "Lack of Comprehension" and play a few lines of it in my solo as sort of paying homage to Steve DiGiorgio. What do you guys think? Lame or cool?
Here's the song if you're not familiar with it. I'll be playing the section from 0:17 to 0:23 and split it in half.
