heres one of the best mudvayne vids in my opinion
awesome bass playing :D

Yeah thats one of the few semi new songs I like. I love his tone in it. It just rumbles and bubbles under neath everything.

Does anyone know what fuzz distortion he's using in that one part?

Mudvayne have got to be one of the best bands for great bass playing!

Yes,

not only is the bass playing awesome, the video is indeed pretty cool. 8)

DAH-DAH-DAH-DAH....................DAH-DAH-DAH-DAH-......................DAH-DAH-DAH-DAH-DAH-DAH-DAH-DAH !!!!!

Ryan is such an amazing player...

hah, I have no idea, with the fuzz, he apparently doesn't like effects, but the song is so heavy BREAK BONES BREAK

Yeah.

Hopefully I get to see him live again. I will be freaking out, that's for sure.

I think Ryan is the man for sure..I wish he would a solo cd or something.
I'm just not a fan of the Mud...

Yeah. I have to agree. Ryan Martinie is an animal but I don't really dig the whole Mudvayne sound.

hmmm..... well ive listened to a few of there new songs on the new album and id have to say that their first album L.D. 50 was the best for bass; you can hear it much clearer though the mix unlike their newer albums.
well im attempting to learn Dig at the moment :P ..... so freakin hard haha

Dig, is probably my favorite song to play, that and death blooms, the hardest part about dig though is getting the slapping part right

how do you tune your bass to play Dig? im playing as B-G-C-F (low to high)
i can play prety much everythin but the verse.... gotta get better slap haha
how long have you been playing bass? u must be pretty good to play mudvayne

His bass is tuned B-F#-B-E on L.D.50 and C-G-C-F on the rest of the CDs. It's like a regualar drop D (DADG) only a whole or a whole and a half step down.

They tuned up after L.D.50 because of intonation issues and because Chad could sing easier in that higher range.
