My fender p is my main bass now, and i'm looking at getting a marcus miller jazz bass! But i love warwicks...so i need to find a combination to save me! HELP!?
 
standart ash vette with maple neck and active j-pu with 3-band equalizer?
 
If you like the P-bass then what the ♣♣♣♣ is the problem? :D

I know this isn't what you asked for, but hey - the Marcus Miller Jazz is a lovely bass!

Ahaha...yeah true. i'm also thinking about getting a $$ of some sort, putting some alnico nordstands in, and a filter preamp. I think i'll get the open sound i want from the alnico pickups...and filter preamps are just so damn cool!
Or i may buy a marcus miller bass soon instead ;)

If that is the tone you're after but you'd like to stay with Warwick, this is a great suggestion... :d

how about a BO $$, maple neck, ebony board...nordstand pickups and a filter preamp...should get close, and plus, i could probably get some unique tones out of it!
 
meh, buy a Corvette $$ and glue a pic of Marcus Miller on it. solved :)
 






There are plenty of Marcus Miller Fenders
out there. Get a decent bargain on a used
example. Then you can dump it at little to
no loss when you soon get fed up with its
tendency to make everything sound like
Marcus Miller.

Exactly... Haha. Warwicks have such a distinct tone but at the same time are pretty versatile, where a signature instrument like the Marcus Miller prob has a very limited pallette. However, the tones the MM does produce are killer...

I just have a hard time accepting there are better sounding basses outside of Warwicks maybe...
