To mess with some die-hard Kiss fan friends of mine I decided to pervert one song I just can't stand: I was made for loving you.
Since I didn't record it with my Warwick (I used a Tacoma Thunderchief), I felt it was better not to post it in the clips area.
The version is kinda lame. The Harmonica it totally lame, but it has my dog howling in the back, so I decided to keep it. The whole thin was just for fun.
The other day, da-vonk was telling me how mad he was when Kiss recrded that song, and so was I.

I was a huge KISS fan when I was a kid. I played detroit rock city until the grooves on the LP (yes vinyl) were worn out...

I'm loving it! I played it 2 weeks before in a gig :-)
 
I know what you mean, Gerry: my Destroyer LP didn't survive...

Gastrok, that is some of the lamest drumming I have ever seen, otherwise I quite like the song. Is Criss on a real tight budget and afraid of breaking a head?
 
hahaha...great job Drews... tho I must say I still have problemz with listening to a song with that name...

I remember da period when da original (Kiss - I was made for loving you) was released as maybe da darkest dayz of my puberty...;)
Influenced by some kewl dudez I met at secundary school I was a hard rocker in those days (1979 !) and Kiss was actually my favourite band... I had bought all their recordz and always wore a jeans jacket that was fully 'decorated' with several different Kiss patches and buttonz...and in my bedroom I obviously had Kiss posters hanging on every wall... 8:
Most of the other kidz at school had never heard of Kiss... we didn't have da internet yet and hard rock music was hardly played on da radio... Disco was da popular music style, which in fact was the extreme opposite of what we liked...KISS (da hardest band in da world !) was for us, da 'tough' hard rockers and Disco was for da sissies, something like that...
You can imagine what a shock it was when I first heard 'I was made for loving you'....I felt betrayed, flabbergasted, humiliated whatevah.... in two weeks time Kiss had reached da number 1 position on all da hitcharts and it really hurt me to see that suddenly somehow almost every 'dumb' schoolgirl was wearing da Kiss 'colorz'...it felt like they'd stolen Kiss, my own true heroes, away from me...:(

LOL I don't know...maybe he thinks a disco song doesn't need heavy handed drumming!
 
I actually had kinda a friendly rivalry with the kiss fans at school, since I was (still am) really into The Who. Old school stuff you know. Then that magazine came out that was entirely about Kiss and 3 of the 4 members listed The Who as their biggest influence and the other listed them as number 2 (influence, not sh!t).
