Thank's for the post four string's are what I like.Had a six felt like plank of wood the neck was so wide.Have a five and don't play it much so I can't talk my self into getting another.That might change though because it's not a Warwick.So I talked my wife into getting this one for me for Christmas.Only I can't get my mitt's on it till Christmas,That's her stipp. Thank's again for the post.

that isnt number 3. the 3 means the third limited edition run. They made roughly 250 of those basses, so saying it is number 3 only makes sense if it says 3/250.

Totally right here. I have number 263 of the the bleached blonde.

The number of the bass is 34.I fixed the preamp in about 20 mins and the bass sounds great.These are some pretty basses,the inlays look better in person.I have a question about the electronics,the one I have has two vol pots and one stacked treb/bass pot.Is this correct for this bass,as whoever had it before me fooled around with the wiring,I had to redo some connections.Now that its fixed the wife is gonna lock it up till Christmass :cry:

Since this is a Thumb bolt on, with 2 regular pots and one stacked pot, they should be volume, pickup pan, and stacked bass/ treble. The pan knob should have a reall affect on volume, it just allows you to pan back and forth between the neck and brisge pickup. Kinda like a really improved toggle switch. My 2 RockBasses (Corvette and Fortress) and the Dolphin all have pan knobs and there's no significant effect on volume.

really? with my Hot Rod Corvette 5er, I get a big volume boost when I pan to the neck pickup. Even after having a couple luthiers take a look at it, they all say its fine. wonder what causes this...

My two Vett's have vol-pan-stacked treb/bass controls,one is passive and one is active.I couldn't find a wiring diagram on the Warwick site that matched the bass I have,I Justed wanted to make sure that the controls weren't different because this on it a LTD.Otherwise I going to switch I back to original.I like the way Warwick uses a pan control over two separate vol pots.But I don't want to change the bass if it's original. :?

James, I have a Bleached Blonde bass as well and it is wired as follows: vol, then pan control, then stacked bass and treble. You are all set.

I was merely commenting on the fact that my pan knob seems to give me louder volume when turned one way as opposed to the ot her (and no, Im not mistaking it for tghe volume pot, LOL)

Thanks for the feedback.It confirms my suspicion that someone before me changed the pots,because the wiring and soder job didn't match the quality that my other Warwicks show.I would like to switch the bass back to original.Just have to wait till Christmas is over and the bills are paid.Thanks again Boston Asphalt z for the info.

No problem, man!!! I lvoe the Bleached Blonde like a son, so I know what its like to want to restore it. Ollie has a 5 string Bleached Blonde, and I am JEALOUS. I am at home on 5 strings, and if I ever find a 5 string Bleached Blonde, I will absolutely be selling whatever I need to to get it!!

try taking the neck pickup lower

My point was that the pan knob shouldn't act exactly like a volume knob. If the volume goes from softer to louder, then it's prolly the set of the pups. But if it mirrors the volume knob, going from zero to full blast, then there's a problem.

try taking the neck pickup lower

the neck pickup is as low as it can go and the bridge one is as high as it can go without interfering with slapping and it still occurs, ugh.
