I saw in a music store killing time before picking up my girlfriend from work and I saw ... a 1991 Dolphin bass. Sounds amazing, feels great has a small dent on the body but you can't notice. Only for 800$ cdn. I can finance it for 76$ a month but I don't get paid until thursday. I really hope nobody looks at it until Thursday.

I'm still paying off my Thumb Bass!!! Ahhhhh
 
god damn ?!?! is that a Pro 1?
if so, even if you put it on your plastic
pay them interest, you will still come out ahead
 
Yes it is! I'm gonna rent it for a month on Thursday when I get paid. Hopefully I get gift cards for the music store at Christmas so I can get it. I really want it! Must increase my Warwick collection.
 
I got a 91 Dolphin Pro 1 too, it sounds good but not amazing, it is biore body which can't be use anymore.
 
Well I got the bass! It's actually a Pro 2. Pics will come later
 
Pro 2 is an entirely different story and has been built in Japan. Do some searching on the forum to find out more.
 
I already looked it up. The bass sounds great so I'm not really concerned about where the actual manufacture was. I have a Rockbass which is a great bass and everybody that has heard it has been impressed by it. Really if it sounds good and it has the W on the headstock does it matter if it was made in Europe or Asia?
 
The only difference is that a dolphin Pro 1 at $800 could be the best deal of your life, $800 is the normal price for a Pro2 :)
 
indeed, if it sounds awesome then get it, i dunno about if 800 is the normal price or a good price..

Pro 2's sound and look really nice. Not saying it's bad just a different story.
800 bucks is a fair price but not a steal BUT we should not express quality and joy in amounts of money.

Congrats on owning a great bass m8! Have loads of fun with it!

I'm really impressed with the sound of it, having a great time playing it. I really want to get another Dolphin bass, something about the shape of it just feels amazing.
 
Dolphins are the most comfortable bass i have ever played, they just become a part of your body. I think if there was pro one for 800 bucks i would swim to canadia myself to snag it! congrats on the new wick.
 
They are surprisingly comfortable. I would have thought they would be a little odd for me but that was my mistake. The same store has a Styker for $2300 CAD. Maybe once I finish paying off the Dolphin and my Thumb I could go for that.
