i think im in trouble!

the neck on ma lx5 is rattling makes a funny noise like theres somethin loose inside.. iv tried tightening it ect and still no change.. is she buggered dya reckon.. i dont kno much on the subject..any ideas?

You can check to see if your truss rod's broken by doing the following.Press your ear hard up against the back of the neck,mute the strings & knock on the bass.If you hear the rod rattling,it might be broken.
If the rod is broken dont worry,it's quite an easy fix without removing the fingerboard.

The rod is unscrewed & removed out the through the cavity.
