....well, until today I thought my Peavey-cab handled 700W in 4ohms, since the info-plate was missing, and on other similar cabs it`s been 700W.

...but today I went inside the amp, to check on a faulty input. There I found a wiring-scheme saying it only takes 400W in 4 ohm. My new Ashdown-amp rund 600W(peaking at 1000W, whatever that means).

Will this ever go, or should I get a new cabinet as fast as heck?

Cheers from Silly G

Great, thanks. It`s sounded fine so far, and it`ll have to do until I`ve earned some cash to a new cab. Thought about switching the Ashdown for a ProFet 5.1. Though, I`ve heard people having some issues with the compressor on it, and I need it to play LOUD. I`m competing against to Marshall double-stacks at rehearsal. :?

If you run your head full blast, will overdirve and distortion, yeah, maybe worry about your cab...

Otherwise it should survive the ordeal... :p
