Hi all...

I'm new to the world of Warwick having just purchased a Blue Cab 60. The amp sounded great for the first hour I practiced with it but something in it must have been faulty - I got a little hum, than silence. I turned it off and smell a burning electrical-type smell...

My complication is that I bought it from a store in NY that's going out of business - they won't accept a return. It is new and I have the warranty card to fill out - am I going to be able to get it fixed under warranty? (This definitely wasn't abuse - I was playing in my 8' x 10' office with a passive bass and the amp volume set at 4...) Who do I call or email? I don't see any support type pages on either the Warwick or danabgoods.com site...

Oh, and if there's something obvious that I should be checking on the amp (a user-serviceable fuse?) feel free to point me in the right direction - the owners manual only has a single page of info for the amp and says not to open the cabinet...

Hi Simeon & welcome.
The dealer you bought from,is it actually closing for business permanently? Is the business being sold & will it re-open under new management?
If so,they new owner/manager might be able to help you out.If not?Contact Dana B Goods, they're the USA's Warwick importer/distributor.Tell them what's happened & I'm sure they'll be happy to help.

Someone else should drop in & leave a more direct email address &/or phone number. The guys name is Tyler Krupsky, iirc.
Good luck mate.

**edit.
As far as I know, the dealer must take the faulty amp back & supply you with a new, working amp.Regardless of their plans for the future. This isnt Warwick law,but consumer law.It is in Australia anyway.

Hello, and welcome to the forum. The smoke smell it's not a good sign, just take it back. Contact the dealer, or directly DBG, they'll help you :-)
