After moving on from my fretless Corvette 4-string to a Fretless 5-string (Warmoth neck/Squier Body) and then to a Fretless 6-string (Carvin), I finally raised enough money to order a Custom Shop Warwick.

I had my mind set on purchasing a Thumb. After some time of consideration, I decided that my return to Warwick shouldn't be on just any Warwick but on a special Warwick.
I fell in love with the Thumb bass after hearing Jeroen Thesseling play them. It just sounded so perfect. So, I ordered a Thumb 6-string Fretless with a Wenge neck.

Sorry for ranting my excitement on here even though nobody cares, but I'm excited!!!

Congratulations Carlos! That's exciting news... I know how you feel!

Of course when your new bass arrives, we will need pics and clips!

:d

Aren't the clips and pics mandatory? They should be, at least in this forum >:)

That's the first thing I'll do!

I just hate the waiting game...

Welcome to the forum, Carlos :-) So you didn't played it yet? Be prepared for the monster growl tone!

Welcome, Carlos, that´s what I call a brilliant return to the Warwick neighborhood.

Wenge FB on fretless, should be better with ebony FB? I like wenge better on fret bass but my Dolphin came with fret remove, it is wenge FB, I just didn't get the wow wow fretless sound so I put the fret back to get a slap machine.

I ordered the regular Tigerstripe Ebony FB on a Wenge neck with Bubinga stripes.

I have wondered about a Wenge FB though, would you happen to have any old sound clips of the fretless Wenge FB by any chance?

It's been a while, a long while, and I still haven't gotten my bass yet, BUT!!! I found this while looking at the Custom Shop Gallery and what did I find??? My bass! I'm excited!

CAS that is a beautiful bass! I love the wenge neck through design.

When will it be ready for you?

That bubinga pommele grain is unique and beautiful...congrats, Carlos!

Thank you, everybody!

I've had this bass for a little more than a week now. I have been busy with work, school, and writing for my band's upcoming recording session that I've ignored the forum :((

But! This bass is amazing. I'm still in awe of how beautiful it is, and how amazing it sounds. Not to mention, the Low B on this bass is one of the best playing and sounding that I have ever heard/played. It sounds so good! At least to me :P

Here are some iPhone pictures:

As soon as I started playing I thought the neck was wide. But comfortably wide. I was wondering though, how much wider are the broadneck basses?
