I am sitting here, going through all the threads on the last few pages and Im reading a lot of posts comparing Thumb NT to BO and such and so forth. My idea is, and Ollie, please speak up if this is possible:

Lets everyone make ONE thread (most preferably in this one) with all the info we have about Warwick basses. We coudl divide it into models, or some other way such as body woods, electronics, models and their attributes. Then, I could compile it all into one big post, and see if it can be made into a sticky. We could leave the original thread up, so that way if new info is out, then we can add to the sticky, etc.

I just think it would help streamline the process of posting here a bit.

I dunno, just thinking out loud. I think it could be a cool idea and with all the klnowledge here, we could write a Warwick encyclopedia.

So, guys, and more importnatly, Ollie, what is the verdict on an idea like this? I am looking for yes and no first, if Ollie or another admin thinks it could swork, then we can start compiling and I will put it all together.

Ollie's said in another post that the new phpbb is supposed to be up soon. Maybe we could have a Corvette section, Thumb section, and so forth as well as a general Warwick Basses section???? ~M~

Yes, I intend to reorganize the forum once the new version of phpBB is out. This could be something to include in that reorganization. Give me time to think it through, but I don't see a reson not to start gathering information for it now.

cool, Ollie!

I guess we can at least start to get info together, and if it is something we cant make a sticky, it is certainly something we could save in our favorites, or I coudl even put in a word document and email to people, hehe.

I just want to cdontribute here, I love this forum and want to help out somehow :D

Yeah, I see nothing wrong with the idea and keep them coming. This forum is to support Warwick owners and future buyers that are ineterested in the products made by the company, so something like this is really good.

Excellent idea BA2,count me in. :D

awesome, give me some time to figure out how we want to split it up. I gotta give it another day of thought to see what works best....

I also just noticed your PM, expect a response sometime tomorrow :D

This sounds like genius idea. The Warwicklopedia....

This will make it easier for potential buyers to gather info, rather than scrambling around in the search-function.

Yeh... a lot of combined wisdom is hidden amongst the threads - things like... waxing, truss-rod adjustments and ... the little wings broke on my JAN2... keep coming up

I wrote an FAQ thread for the Honda S2000 board many years ago. It's now a massive document, but I regularly get PMs/mails thanking me for the information.

There are a lot of people who visit forums for info, but don't like/want to post, so FAQs can be a great way of giving them the info they want.

It doesn't take a huge amount of work to keep it updated, and I get people who now aboiut certain areas to write me sections that I don't know a lot about.

Here's a link to it, I'm sure none of you will be interested in the content, but you may be interested in the format if you're going to do something similar here

(Not that I'm offering to do one on here! I'll leave that for someone who's got a bit more knowledge of the different basses)

There's a search function?

hi guys, i started working on something a while ago, A Warwick Register, where you could submit the details of your own bass, inc serial no, woods, pups, eq etc. so you could build up a data base of all the warwicks made. It would be very interesting, to lookup who has owned your bass before you. You could also include user reviews etc.

very good idea BA2!!

i'm with it, even though i don't know THAT much about warwick...i must confess
but i'll do my best to help!

Maybe a stolen Warwick register like Alembic have?Just a thought.

This sounds like a cool idea. I guess I could offer some info about the Thumb NT 6 Fretless once I get it. Another important and critical thing we should cover is the Custom Shop. I think this is something alot of people are interested in.

I made something like this, but unfortunately is written in Italian, and it's way too long to translate

That's a shame Max,I'd volunteer to help but I can only count to 10 in Italian.

If You need help I'm quite fluent in Italian. I lived with my granmother(who was Italian) until I was 6, I began speaking it at the same time as Croatian.
