hi all forumers.

if any of you read the "i hate arrogant a**holes post in warwick bass section. you would of read my comment that did not represent God at all and i have repented of it.

i have humbled myself and said that it was wrong what i said and thank you jay for pulling me up. you were 100% right.

just because im a christian doesnt mean im magically made perfect by Jesus. im still a human being and all human beings (no matter what religious views) say, thinks and does things that he/she should not of. just like in the comment i posted, i told them that they should of kept there opinions to there self, well i voiced a opinion i should of kept to myself, so that makes me a hypocrite also

now in light of the topic that i posted a reply, it would also be arrogant of you guys to say that you have never said the wrong thing. so please! dont judge me.

unlike the ernie ball forum, when they knew that they where wrong and said things that they should not have, they did not humble themselves and admit that they were wrong.

im going to leave that comment up to help you remember that we christians are not perfect, we still stumble.

so im sorry, to all of you and i would hate to see this forum fall apart into one like the EB forum where everyone has a go at each other.

i pray you wont judge me :(

I love this line I read the other day by Dr. Chuck Missler concerning the apostle Paul's letter to the Romans:
"God’s grace is what Romans is really all about, and, specifically, God’s predicament. Romans presents the most complete and penetrating statement of God’s divine plan for redemption. Christ did not come to make bad men good, but to give dead men life!"

Christians are saints, not because we act like it, but because the Bible promises it and Jesus does a work on the inner man. And if I didn't stumble, why would I need Him at all?
"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness...for when I am weak, then am I strong." (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)

But if I walk by faith, then I am going to take God at His Word and depend on His Son as I go through the "growing pains" of being a bumbling human while also being a "temple of the Holy Spirit."

A fellow bass player taught me way back in my high-school days that it's all about your focus - when Peter walked on the water, he was doing fine until he took his eyes off of Jesus and began to worry about the turmoil around him. Yet when he began to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me" and an outstretched hand was immediately there to catch him! If anyone is interested, you can read the story in Matthew 14:22-31. Though I was already a Christian at the time, this perspective changed my life at the point where I was at - I had to look to Jesus, not to my own strength, nor to my problems and failings. It literally became my cry of desperation and a rescue from my turmoil.

And still I stumble daily.

Q: "O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?"
A: "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 7:24-25)

I could say sorry for the mini sermon, but I never apologize for my stand...would you apologize for your bass playing? Maybe that's a bad example... :lol: :wink:

im really struggling with doin the right thing atm. we all do but it jus feels like iv taken a backwards step and its so frustrating! :x

That's why our faith isn't based on our feelings, but on the Word and promises of God.

It's human nature to frustrate ourselves, and it doesn't help that there's a devil who whispers in our ear that we've let God down again (as if we could ever be so good and pleasing in and of ourselves...)

But also recognizing that it was a step in the wrong direction is actually a step forward. And from there, we press on in the strength and teaching of the Holy Spirit...

"...this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:13-14)

im just gonna put it out there that i am also a christian and i understand completely about the whole apology. some people might just look at that and say who cares, get over it. but i really respect people that are able to do hard things like that so that their faith isnt damaged.
 
I myself am not a christian, although as an agnostic I will never exclude any possibility, so I can not and will not be the judge upon what type of christian you and your reactions will make you.

Whether it's your vision that's readjusted by the words of your god or my own through my self-reflection...the fact that one can feel humble and dares to admit and correct ones flaws is what makes one humane.

The interactions we all have here with one and other could and should be a way too broaden our horizons, thus wiser and let’s keep that in mind and focus.
 
I'm not a Christian but I am spiritual and read an interesting concept in a book that makes it very easy to 'do the right thing'.

Always act out of love - if in doubt, ask yourself "what would God do".

I have to say that the 'Conversations with God' books are a very interesting read...might not appeal to all Christians but very thought provoking and offer some very lofty principles on how to live.

Juzzo - I don't think you needed to post this...God doesn't judge (imo) - he loves. It would be pretty mean to give you free will and then judge you for your actions. Personally I've never thought of God as a mean, spiteful and judgemental being but a highly evolved, loving entity that created you and loves you for all that you are (and aren't..and could be).

No judging from me, either... I'm in my 40's and still do stupid things that I'm ashamed of (at least those episodes are becoming fewer and farther between!!) - I'm just thankful for the Lord's incredible love and patience! I've recently been humbled myself, so I know what it's like. We serve an amazing Savior!
 
yea, i know from personal experience that this kind of thing is about a love relationship with jesus christ, and not letting anything effect that because you value you it so high in your life.
its not becuase you want to be a good christian.

this is something that can only be experienced yourself, trying to describe gods love will never do it justice. after being a christian my entire 18 years, im am only starting to understand this properly
 
juzzo, Your appology is some stand up shit. I was just giving you a hard time. It was just an out of character comment from someone such as yourself. I don't think anyone here will judge you. I know my reply wasn't judgemental. I just wanted to remind you of who you were. I think we all need that sometimes. I know I do...

Yeah...if you read the Old Testament, you will notice that God is the biggest mass murderer ever conceived by man. But since he (apparently) made all of us, he can do whatever the hell he wants, eh?

Sorry, I'm a Jew and we are taught to question these things, but of course NEVER God's law. Anyway....

Christian, Jew, Muslim or whatever, owning up to, and correcting your mistakes is what makes you a good person, and that matters more than your 'faith'. We all know by your posts that your a good person Juzzo, so no worries mate!

i really don't mean to offend anyone here, im just putting my views out there...
this is one thing, i really don't like... I'm not saying my head is spinning around and i'm puking pea soup, but i'm just leave me out of it, just as a future reference (and i'm stupid because i'm putting my self in this, but i will post it anywase).

no hard feelings if any were perceived.
