i bought a D tuner for my warwick and it is always sharp the switch stops on the back of the G tuning key

there is a little tuner for the droped pitch, fidget with that until you get it in tune...
 
Sounds like you need to do a little modification.

I would check to see if there is a better D Tuner that fits better.

What kind is it.

Modding may be nothing more than one extra tiny hole on the back of the headstock, to rotate the E-string tuner to a different angle so the lever can have full travel. Of course you have the visual situation: it would put your E-string tuning key at a different angle.

If a new angle won't do it, then a different tuner is the only answer.
