Alright, this is what I'm gonna try. After I sent back the $$NT, I grabbed the cheapest Ibanez. The Ash $$ won't be in for 2 more weeks. But now I just ordered the Rockbass Fortress 5 string. I had a Rockbass for 1 day back in January (right after I sold the FBass) and I didn't like it. But I figured it would HAVE to be better than this Ibanez.

Comments/ opinions anyone?? If it works out I may keep it until September and re-purchase the $$NT. When i first started playing bass I wanted a Fortress, but they went out of production that year.
 
If your not in a hurry I think there is possibly still some fortress bodies available in the CS. Ask Ollie about it...
 
+$200 would have gotten you a real Warwick off Ebay.

Not knocking the Rock Bass, but if your looking to hold you over. There are alot of nice basses out there you wouldn't loose money on by buying used.

$610 for a FNA last night. I'm kicking myself for not jumping in, but I'm a do it right the first time type of guy. I want to make sure I get the right one the 1st time around.
 
I sent the NT$$ back because I got into a money crunch. I won't lose any money on the Fortress as long as i return it within 45 days. So, does anyone think it will sound or feel worse than this $300 Ibanez I bought over the weekend? I just need something until end of the month or so, by then my BO should be here.
 
If you can return the bass within the store limit then switch up all month! I just took home an Ibanez Atk bass to play with (as I've done with a few Warwicks) and it's fun trying out different stuff as it makes me appreciate my Warwicks more and either way I seem to learn something each time...like this forum! Oh, and if anyone cares, the Ibanez is suprisingly powerful and quite nasty...in a good way. I'd choose it over the Stingray which I do like, (don't hit me) :wink: but it's definately no Thumb bass! Like I said, try anything and see if Warwick still shines like it does for me.

there is a bundle of fortresses just come to austrailia.
