i finally understand why to millions of people iron maiden are simply the best heavy metal band ever to have been.

i went to see them yesterday at the shefield gig (part of the a matter of life and death world tour) and im not really sure what to say apart from i've never seen a live preformance that affected me to such a huge degree.

anyone else seen iron maiden and know what im talking about?

if any of you are rock fans and have never seen this band preform live please do yourself a favour and try and see maiden before they stop doing what they are still doing...i promise you it will be a night you will remember for the rest of your life

I saw them in Irvine CA, USA a couple months ago. The last time I saw them was during their Powerslave tour.
They still rule!! Great show! The only thing that I didn't like was that Nicko was stuffed into the middle of the stage where all you could see was his kit. It would have been cool to elevate him for the whole show, or to bring him forward out of the drum cove/"cave".

And Steve Harris.... ahhh `Nuff said!

it's not my favourite band but every time they play in a range of 100km from my house i'm in the crowd :D

'Twas my first ever major concert, to be honest. They played here on the 24th of August, 2003 and never came back since. :D Awesome gig! Gamaray was the opening band that night and I grew impatient. Then when Maiden showed up the whole crowed went nuts. The concert was well thought out in terms of lighting, special effets and songs (they played Two Minutes To Midnight two minutes before midnight). You really notice that they're all about the music and their fans when they give 4 encores. Eventhough I don't really like the new album I would definitely buy tickets if they were to come here again!

The first time I saw them was back in 95 in Italy, Pordenone. I love the band since I was a kid and I still do. Saw them live several times since then, the last time was in Zagreb, Croatia in 2002.

I saw maiden a few years ago in Irvine also. Saw them with Motorhead and DIO. Great show, I am a huge iron maiden fan.

Put out a great show, I mean, they run full speed while playing dual leads. HAHA!

Goin with Ceej Also.... Steve Harris, he is the reason I still have my P bass.

Saw them in Oslo a few years ago, with Entombed as warm-up.

...while they have lots of catchy songs, it`s still X versions of the same theme. I enjoyed the "Seventh son of a Seventh Son"-period the most, but I get too hung up in the gay atmosphere onstage, hehe.

To sum up, Iron Maide doesn`t do it for me, but whenever my sister needs someone to follow her, I`m there. ....even though she`s 7 years older than me.
