I finally got my dream bass

Well over 10 years ago, I saw my first NT Thumb bass, and knew that I had to have one. I've owned just about every Warwick model in the book, but some how could never get a NT Thumb. I got a chance to play with a band who opened up for Collective Soul, five years ago, and got to play the bass players 5 string NT Thumb. Wow. I fell in love. I would just like my Warwick family to know, on my 28th birthday last week, my wife bought me my dream bass. A 5 string NT Thumb.

And here she is. (My bass not my wife)
 
Happy Birthday scott,you've owned more warwicks than most so I dont need to tell you how special the thumb 5 NT is,& being a gift from the wife makes it even more special. :wink:
 
That is just great!

For me, the Thumb NT5 was the Holy Grail of Warwick basses, and I bought mine last December. I love it to death.

Congrats on your bass. This is in my opinion, is the golden age of the electric bass, and the Thumb NT5 represents the state of the art at it's very, very best.

You won't be dissapointed.

I own basses that are considered "boutique" with the fancy tops and the custom wound pickups. But, I still play my thumb more than any of them.

You are a lucky man to have a wife like that!

Thanks alot! I've been so busy playing lately that I haven't had a chance to get online! The wait was WELL worth it. I can't put it down. I'm thinking about kicking the wife out of the bed and putting the bass in her place. Then again, she did buy it for me. :)

I just got rid of my 6 string fretless Thumb BO. Here is a pic. I regret selling it so bad. I thought I could find another six string fretless Warwick to buy, but have not found any that fit the bill.
 
scottm - that is a real piece of beauty and I understand why you regret selling it / mats
 
I'm trying to find the right custom 6 string fret-less streamer to buy, to replace it. :D
