Hi !

After a few mouth of questions in this forum and thinks like thaht ... I finally found wich bass I need ! :D Last week-end I go to Italmelodie at Montreal and I'll try both of Warwicks and my favorite one is really the Corvette FNA Jazzman LTD 2004 !! But I want to both a used bass and the jazzman "standard" is easyer to found so I will go with the Corvette FNA Jazzman ... I also tryed s 'vette Proline .. wow it's nice to ! This bass really surprise me !

BUt ... some body can give me some informations about the Hot Rod ?? I'm only curious ... Malla, you have these two bass .. what are the differances ?

Finally ! ... Did some body have a FNA jazzman to sell ? ( or the LTD 2004 or a Hot Rod :D ) ???

If yes, let me know please ! I'm defenetly interested !!
I will put some pics of my FNA,my ProFet 5.1 with 611 Pro and me when I got them :D !

The main subject of my topic was to talk about the basse I'll tryed, also about my choice (FNA Jazzman) and to have some informations about the Hot Rod (sound) .. I hope that my topic will done a discution abut these subjects. Sorry to have ask if somebody have some bass to sell ... I'll don't think that a question like that was not O.K. in these forum ( ouf ... poor english hein ! ) I will post a topic in an oder forum for this point !

Also, when I go to Italmelodie I'll try a Streamer Jazzman ... the first time a roth an e-mail to have your advice you tell me thaht it was peobably the best bass for me but I don't really love the tone of this bass ... it sound very "fat" ... without punch or thinks like that, I know it's not a thumb but I dont really like the low .. it was the amplifie configuration or I don't don't no .. with your Streamer Jazzman do you have some beautiful low "growl" ?

Streamer Jazzman:

The Jazzman can be a tricky instrument. It takes time to understand the controls. Both the FNA Jazzman and Streamer Jazzman. I suggest that when you try it you use these settings:

BASS: 100%
TREBLE: 100%
MID: 40%-60%

Move the switch for the MM pickup to the middle position. Then put the pickup selector knob to about 55%-60% in favor of the Jazz pickup. This settings work pretty well for me.


Also note that the woods used for the construction of the Streamer Jazzman are Ash and Maple with an Ovangkol neck as opposed to bubinga or ovangkol bodies like some other Warwicks basses. The reason why I recommended this bass for you, was because of its versatility and the fact that it is able to give you a good tone in almost every situation.

But I think that no matter what I say, you need to try it out for yourself and find something that sounds good to your ears and feels good in your hands.

Corvette Hot Rod:

The Hot Rod is a very good instrument. for this instrument we used the same woods as the Streamer Jazzman (Ash back and Maple Top). The difference is that the Hot Rod has a maple neck too. This makes this bass very bright sounding. But then again, you have a very strange pickup combination. Two P-style pickups which are known to bring out the low end on your bass, so combine those two elements and you have a very powerful tone.
 
Hi, correct what Oliver says about the sounds. If I would have just one bass out of these it would be the the FNA because the Hotrod dousn't fit in all the time although it's a great funk machine.

What's the difference between the streamer and corvette jazzmen (?) - I mean the standard versions, not LTDs hotrods etc. Is it just the look/feel - are the woods/PUs etc all the same.

From what I've read, I'd like to put these on my shortlist for any future purchases
