yeah, this weekend the hurricane is supposed to be off the coast of Massachusetts, ugh. Im half an hour fromt he water so Im sure I will get some nice wonds, some decent rain and a lot of time to sit and play my basses

The Dominican Republic as you all may know is a very interesting place. Lots and lots of economical problems yet we find the people to always be happy. We owe that to the large amounts of beer and rum that the government provides the country people with to hide the corruption and money stealing process that they carry all the time.
Hurricanes is something we here in the DR have to worry about every year for about 3 months during hurricane season. This is the second one this year and I have been through 4 big ones that I can remeber. The problem this time was the huge amounts of rain.
There is one thing I should mention before I continue to talk about the rain, Only about 20% of the DR population actually lives on concrete houses, the rest of the people live in wild condition in the woods. Not to mention that of that 20%, only half have enough money to deal with a crisis like this one. This time because of the rain, and because many people in the countryside were not alerted on time, many people resulted dead and many others went missing. So far the count goes up to 79 dead and about 40 other missing people. Besides those numbers who sad enough, more than 64,000 people were left without a home because the rain took their houses away. Many parts of the country were incommunicated for a few days because all the bridges that lead there were brought down by the rain and people had to be rescued with helicopters.
Me and my family luckily are part of that 3% of people who actually have enough money to build a good house and live on the upside, so the rain did not hurt any of us or the house we live in. All the basses are still in perfect condition as well as all the equipment in the studio.
