Some pics of "Chasing Amy" at the Huddstock Festival yesterday.
Lovely sunny day... 15 local bands on the main stage, plus more in the acoustic tent and dance tent... all for charity. Good time had by all!
Interesting story: the band before us... the bass player was panicking. Someone dropped his Musicman and it wouldn't stay in tune. I was the only other person with a bass available at that time... but he'd never played fretless before, but he had no choice but to go on stage with it. I thought I'd go round the front to hear how my Thumb sounded properly, and through a huge PA. The bass player was really good and played the fretless like he was born to it. But that tone... wowie
What a bass!
I'd brought my microbass II pedal, but I didn't bother with it...
Wonder if we have a convert with the guy who borrowed my bass. Noticed he didn't alter the controls at all, just a bit of front pickup bias and flat eq!
