Nice banjo playing Casey, but I'm so sorry - I've got to say it's not as nice as bass.

:D

CHING CHA CHEE TWAAAAA, HAHA

good to have you back, I was listening to your old band a little bit earlier today :D

Thanks for the WB's :D

I need to throw some new strings on my bass and clean it up a bit... Maybe over the next couple of months I'll build up a bass rig again...

Until then, I havn't had much time for bass... I've been working non-stop lately. I like banjo, When I can find a few minutes here and there I pick it up and play a bit... Then run back off to work.

But, Now that I have a banjo... Once I get the bass back up and running, Maybe some new recordings? Banjo+Bass? Something similar to Bela Fleck maybe...

Greetings Neighbor,

I was just looking at your page the other day. I remember seeing something about a banjo build. How did that go, or is it still in the works. Glad to see you back, although you were actually here before me. Seeing someone else from Oregon posting is pretty cool.

Just curious, you mentioned putting something together along the lines of Bela Fleck. Were you refering to more of the Jazz type stuff with the Flecktones like left of cool for example or his early bluegrass type stuff or the more celtic type stuff from say inroads? Either way... Would love hearing anything you put together. Especially with Bela as an influence. Man... what an incredible banjo player... incredible musican. I read an interview where he credits Earl Scruggs doing the "Beverly Hillbillies" theme as getting him hooked on banjo. I actually found that to be pretty interesting. Although, you can hardly blame him... Earl Scruggs is an incredible banjo player.

Peace

Do you have all of your teeth?

What do ya get when ya have 2 banjo players in the same room?
A full set of dentures.

so, casey, what could one do to a banjo to bring out the mids a little more??
