how to get a truss rod out???

just managed to blag a great deal on a '94 fortress, however the reason is cos the truss rod is snapped! the nut just turns and turns and turns!!! what is the best way to get it out to replace it? cheers

Newer Warwicks have non-removable truss rods. You are lucky in this case cause it should be a two way removable rod:

great vid that, sadly my rod still wont budge!!! i'm assuming that its cos the nut has seperated from the rod itself??? any ideas?

I have heard that making sure its all lose and then tipping the bass upside down and giving it a couple solid thumps with your hand can rattle it loose. Also if the nut is off the rod the nut should come out easy nough.
