I have no idea how long it has been since I last posted here, but it has been a while. I must say Ive completely lost the interest in music and playing bass, which is sad, but it happens. I have spent my time working and going to graduate school, which has kept me busy.

I never recieved my warwick posters in the mail, which makes me sad :cry:

How is everyone else here doing lately? Well, I hope!

I will still check in from time to time. Take it easy folks and dont get into too much trouble.

Hey Graham.You're just in a slump mate,nothing to worry about,it happens to us all.I've always looked at you as more of a collector than a serious player.I say that with the best intentions,I'm not much of a player myself.What with all the legal bills I've racked up this year that runs into the tens of thousands & last year being devoted to getting rid of the hep C I had for 20 years,playing my bass has been the least of my priorities.But rest assured,the bass bug has bitten us both so dont think you're off the hook that easily.
 
I can relate to your story, full time work does not leave me with much time or energy to play anymore. Sure enough I can feel the bass bug is still there though. Perhaps it's sleeping.
 
ey boston, i still havent received my poster too :)

and dont worry... i quit music for 10 years worth before i began missing it and playing again. just dont sell off all your equipment

Hey Graham, I agree with Greg's advice- don't sell your gear.
When I graduated school, I stopped playing bass for a year, I thought it will be forever, and sold everything. Well... look at me now.
 
It`s all about the twists and turns, so just hold on to your gear until the time is yours again. Happy to hear from you, man. A break can sometimes do people good, instead of practicing intense the whole time.

Sometimes, it`s also about meeting the right people (read: band) that`ll make you pick it up again.

I haven't even touched any of my bass gear for six months now, since I quit my last band. It's just one of those things and you go with the flow. :wink:
 
welcome back. sorry to hear this about music but will come back.

I wish I had money to help relieve that pain of seeing those basses at your home occupying your precious room. :wink:
 
Hey Graham - don't sell up man....you'll regret it later when you do get back into it.

I took an 8 year break from playing - just really didn't feel like picking up a bass and then one day, picked up my trusty Yam and got back into it to the point that I treated myself to a Wick.

sometimes you just don't feel like playing anymore. But it will come back, just like it did with the saxophone
