how can i clean my emps?

now i got all EMP's on my vette, love em, but they're grimey, how can i clean them?

Just wipe them with a clean cloth after every use I'd say..........

It's ok to boil EMP's.The coating is not a shrunken tube like Elixers but rather a molecular thing like electro plating so this should only remove the gunk rather than strip the protection.

IMO boiling is never OK. For uncoated strings I prefer alcohol or acetone, but for coated i'd try wiping with lemon oil.

I tend to boil my strings all the time... Keeps them sounding nice and fresh, And they have been known to last over a year for me.

IME boiling lets maximum a week for strings to die completely. It seems like I must try those EMP's if they really are as durable.
