After 3+ months of fighting, I finally won my battle with the employment department and am finally recieving my unemployment benefits. Yeah! So after getting caught up on my rent and a couple other bills, I finally got my internet back on and I am home!

I have to say, I really missed this forum and all of its great members. I really appreciate all the kind words and all the encouragement I have recieved from you guys. It really did help. You guys are the best!

Anyway, I am back, and with any luck, I'm back to stay!

Awesome Randy! Glad that everything is working it's
way out, and that we've got you back again!

Great to see you again Randy.I knew things would sort themselves out in time.
It's been hell having to put up with the crap some of these jokers expect ya to swa oops.sorry guys.
You know I luvs ya's ;)
btw.Flo asked me to try & find ya so he could throw a few bucks your way.

Yeah, he sent me an email with that offer as did a couple of others. While I was extremely touched by the offer, I just couldn't accept it.

I paid into unemployment and knew I was entitled, and when I finally had a hearing in front of an impartial judge, and got to present my case, the denial of benefits was over turned, so I should be ok now. Trying to get on disability and am trying to go back to school. Will just have to wait and see.

good to hear randy! my girlfriend is getting unemployment benefits too. I'm not sure how they expect one to do much on the minimal amount they give, but its better than nothing.

Welcome back.

Do be very careful of what you say in front of any
supposedly impartial judge, or any other official
in the system. They are not really impartial. As
part of the system, they do have a policy to carry
out, of releasing as little money as possible to as
few people as possible. It's a legitimate austerity
thing on the face of it, but leads to some rather
inexplicablly unjust decisions. The less you say,
the better.

They can use your own comments against you,
comments you offer in support of your claim. Be
sure you know exactly what facts will be needed
to support your claim. Don't paint too complete
a picture of your situation. IOW, being TOO
cooperative can hurt you.
