Help with a warped neck

Hi all

I have a warped neck on my Thumb 4 BO.

My G string is riding above the frets nicely, but it takes 2 men and a small boy to fret my E string.

My local repair guy tweaked it as best he could, but he said to try talking to Warwick about getting a new neck.

Anyone here ever try contacting Warwick or DBG about something like this?

Any suggestions on who to talk to first? email addresses?

I'm going to bump this one with a question: why on earth are these steel-reinforced, deep-profile, 3 piece necks warping? My 2004 Thumb 4 Bolt-on seems to have gone the same way, and I'm utterly shocked. If anything, I would have expected the G side to have more relief, as mine has been in drop-D tuning for most of it's life, so the tension has been lower on the E side.

What gives, people?

Well, just spent some time on the phone with one of the chaps at Dominant Music here in Oz, and had a few questions answered. It's a rare occurence (then why me? heh) but the good news is that in a 5 year old neck it's unlikely to get any worse, and should be easy enough to straighten out or plane & refret.

Or I could just put up with it - we're talking a 0.4 mm difference in relief from E - G.

Good news Idoru.
I've never seen a warped warwick neck in my whole life, and I've seen some Warwicks. However, it seems to happen more often in some humid/ dry areas. You need to wax your neck...
 
I have three warwicks with slightly twisted necks.two bolt ons and nt.I have seen pictures of a warwick that had a twist and the luthier planed the finger board and refretted.The neck looked perfect and the action look nice and low but he used silver colored fret's so the bass looked a little off.

Yeah, thats the way I went on my 96 Vette when it twisted. it was the same as Adams bass. it cost $$ to get it done, but when it right it will last.

I think Florin is right. if its an unsealed neck it will need more attention. too dry or too humid, its gonna mess with it.
 
Even better: Dominant will pay for freight to get the whole bass down (and back!) to their guy in Melbourne, where it will cost $150-200 to repair. I'll be able to claim the cost of repairs on my tax.

can i buy a new neck from warwick??? help cant hold on the warp is to strong arrrrrrrrrrrr going under the b string argggg man... need to get this warp out Hhhhelp
anyone know or have a 5 string neck for sale?????
