Hi guys, I´m new here:d!

I´m going to buy a W.RB. but I´m a bit undecided.

My options are the following:

-Warwick RockBass Streamer Standard 4 2010
-Warwick RockBass Streamer LX4 2010
-Warwick RockBass Corvette Basic4 passiv 2010

I´m gonna play hard rock or metal... but sometimes, some support to electronic styles (D&B, dubstep...).
I know you´re gonna say that I need an active one... but in low/medium range instruments, I prefer to pay for less features and a bit more quality.

I´m swimming in an ocean of doubts! wich one should I buy? tips please:roll:!

Well, the first thing I'd be doing is looking at 5 string models instead of 4. Why forego the extra low™?
 
Well... good question. I´m feeling good with four strings and as I said, I prefer to pay for a bass with less features but better quality (the fifth string rises the cost a bit).

I´m from Europe, I forgot (if it can be helpful for the models available).

I'd go with LX as it has P/J pickup config. You'll get nice tight metal sound form J pickup as well as a deep punchy dub lines with P pickup.

None of these basses are bad, really

Hi Fildes, welcome to the forum.

I'd not chose the rb stremaer STD, it has a mellow sound, you need a tighter sound for your music.
The rest of them are good choices.
Corvette $$ - a versatile bass, probably the best choice if you still don't have your desired sound in mind.
Corvette Basic - you cannot go wrong with that, fenderish kind of sound with some extra growl. be sure you chose the active version.
Streamer LX - great choice, the growliest of them all.
 
Thanks Florin!. My head is getting clearer now... I think the LX is gonna be my best option ;-) (However I´m trying to "taste" the $$ first).
 
I don't really have a lot of experience with $$'s but I play metal and jazz and all sorts of stuff and I have a Corvette Basic as a backup to my other Wicks and it is very versatile. I have always been a fan of the J/J config and I know that with this bass I can keep both pickups on full blast for a very full but articulate tone, turn off the neck PU for that Jaco tone or use only the neck PU for that smooth vintage tone or anywhere in between. Just my 2 cents but I do know that you can't really go wrong with any of them.
