I am a new Warwick bass owner from Texas. I recently purchased my first one which is a 1991 Streamer Stage I. The bass has no fretboard dots and the battery is in the control cavity. I see that a lot of them have a separate battery cavity. Glad to be here on the forum and hope to one day find a Stage I or II 5 string!

heyho welcome!

most wicks comes without dot inlay (looks much nicer to me!) and yep older wicks are having the batteries in the control activity. you surely have a just-a-nut1 saddle too.
this company lives since over 25years, so there are difference/upgrades on the basses.
so don't be scared your bass is not a prototyp or something like that. it's a surely a beauty from a good time (lot people prefer wicks from older times too)!
and keep in mind that the ssI and ssII don't have the same string-spacing

It is I! Thanks for the welcome and all of the info on the bass. It does have the brass just-a-nut and black hardware too. I need to apply some wax to her because she has been well loved over the years.

Welcome! You bought a great bass and as you will journey along you will probably find these Warwick basses are a class of their own.

To say it like i feel about Wicks: after purchasing my first wick i have never looked back at 'all the others i have had' or to (mis)use a phrase appropriate for these days.

it's a small step for music generally speaking but a giant leap for Basskind :d
