im new here and this is my first post. i just want to say hello and show yall my basses. a 2006 thumb BO 5 and a 2007 taranis 5

I think your the first member to own a taranis :) Atleast that I know of.

Nice basses :) & Welcome

Welcome, mister! Nice basses you have there, and congrats on the new Taranis-model. Whats it like?

welcome mate. yeah congrats on the taranis. im sure everyone would love a review.

the taranis is a really cool bass. it was actually my first warwick. ive been playing EB musicman basses for a few years and one day i went to a music store to try out an amp and i saw a warwick $$ hanging up so i picked it up and plugged it in. wow!! the sound blew my away it had a tone like no other. the quality of the build was also really impressive. i had to have it. i ordered a $$ from american musical supply and well.. they accidentally sent me the taranis instead. i plugged it in and loved it as well it was $200 more so i decided to keep it. the sand blasted finish is absolutely beautiful. it has a really flat sound to it. normally i set my amp flat and make tone adjustments with the bass. i just set the pick up position in the middle as well as the tone knob and make some minor boosts at the amp and it has a crushing growl. i loved the warwick sooooo much i sold both my Musicman basses and bought the thumb!!

The sand blasted finish is killer! Congrats on both of them!

That taranis bass looks amazing, and the thumb looks great too :D a verey nice pair you have there

I got to try out a Taranis very briefly at the Warwick expo.it felt just like a Corvette BO to me but the sandblasted finish is much prettier in the flesh, trust me on this.

nice basses man. If it is possible, could make sound clips of the taranis? I'm very intrigued by its tone.

I saw a Taranis at a local shop, and I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of the sandblasted finish. It's original, though.

Welcome aboard from another newbie. :D

You have two very beautiful basses there. 8)

Cheers,
Rachel

I love your basses. Very nice pair, indeed. I absolutley love the sanblasted finish that comes on the Taranis and Darklord.

P.S. - Is the straplock on the bottom of your Taranis crooked, or is it me?

PJ4553,
check your rear strap pin mate,it looks like the rubber gromet has moved to one side. It's probably fine but seeing as their strap locks I thought I'd try & save you a dropped bass.
