Hello to all in the forum,

My name is Tyler Krupsky, and i run the Service Deptartment for Dana B. Goods. If anyone needs anything at all in the future, don't hesitate to ask. I am happy to be part of a great company with a great product and am excited to help all of our loyal players and friends.
 
G'day Tyler,You might be able to help me out with my truss rod,I needed to flatten my neck & I've almost achieved that but it took alot more adjusting than I expected.I've had to give it almost a full turn & turning it further doesnt fill me with confidence,I dont wanna damage it.What do ya reckon?

it depends. how much tension did you feel on the rod?? turning it maybe one full turn or even two full turns i have seen many times, regardless of brand. if it feels very stiff, then try turning it another half turn or so with the tension from the strings off, and i mean really tune them down. once you adjust a rod, you usually have a time for the neck to settle. i have seen necks move overnight and need another adjustment.

Thanks Tyler,I feel more confident after reading your post.The rod still turns freely in both directions,it dosent feel tight or anything so I'll give it another tweak.cheers mate.
 
good to hear. the truss rods that warwick uses are two way. so with enough turning they will tighten in any direction. the rod will have a little room to move and play before it actually tightens at all. once there is a little tension then it will start to actually move the neck in the direction needed.

Yes,I noticed that,quite a bit of that full turn I did felt like free play or slack being taken up.Thanks again mate.
 
Hi Tyler,I took my bass back to the dealer as it's out of warranty in 1 month so I thought that'b be the best course to take.The neck just didn't wanna lay flat for a very good reason.It turns out the rod was fully wound back with no tension in it.Dunno how I managed to do that to it but no harm done.Thanks for the advise mate.
