First live show with this stuff is going to be MEMORABLE.
 
Good choice! I bought a Hellborg Pre last year and I'm very happy with it. It's such a versatile unit.

I only have the preamp, because I use it for practise at home and for recording purposes.

This week is busy with rehearsals and a show, so I probably won't get to make a video demo until the weekend. It sounds SO clean. This is just straight out of the preamp using a TRS cable into 1/8" converter into the line-in on my PC. Nothing special, just the motherboard's on-board port.

This is my SSII if you couldn't tell :P

Don't expect anything spectacular on rehearsals... It doesn't sound anything special. When you take it to your first gig, the sound guy will come to you and ask what you were using, I promise :-)

Chris, both me, and other friends had the same reaction from sound guys, both in studio and live.
- When I first took it life, my sound engineer that was with us for 5 years, and knew all my rigs, etc, was like that

He told me - "♣♣♣♣ you man, NOW you have a sound!!!"
He told me that the bass sounds like it was recorded in a good studio, then edited, and mastered, then played back t the show. :-)
A few gigs later where other bands were playing, I was surrounded by sound engineers, asking what did I do, that my sound is so awesome.
SO I was 100 percent sure they are making fun of me, and there is a hidden camera somewhere. Really...

Same thing told me my friend, in the sudio, everybody surrounded him, he was sure they are making fun of him because he spent a lot of money for that pre :-)
 
Hahaha, that is awesome. I really can't wait!! I'm doing a show tonight, but it is with supplied backline equipment and I don't yet have a rack for the pre, so I didn't bring it.

You have me pumped about this thing, even moreso than what I've heard in my eperiments. :D
 
You guys keep harping on about this pre. You make me GAS lolllll. Maybe one day. Congrats Chris!
